ILURCE ROSADO 2014: 91 POINTS

Tim Atkin: “A Garnacha rosé that consistently wins prizes in Rioja and no wonder given its balance and fruit intensity. Pale in colour, brimming with red cherry and raspberry aromas, this segues into fresh, crunchy, berry fruit flavours with crisp acidity and a nip of tannin. 2015-17”

2010 Ilurce Graciano, Crianza: 90 POINTS

Tim Atkin: “Ilurce is definitely a bodega to watch in the Rioja Baja. This pure Graciano, which has the acidity and power to stand up to the heat of Alfaro, is meaty, spicy and flavoursome, with notes of mint, dried herbs and plummy, damson fruit flavours. Sensitively oaked. 2016-22”

2013 Ilurce Garnacha Red: 91 POINTS

Tim Atkin: “Showing a lot of colour for a Garnacha, but maybe that’s a reflection of the fact of using some of the juice to make the bodega’s award-winning rosé, concentrating what’s left behind. Dense and spicy, with rich damson and bramble flavours and subtle oak. 2016-21”
