The Qu.D.O. Regulatory Council has selected this year’s wine to be drunk at its institutional events over the next twelve months from among the 168 samples submitted by wineries for this annual contest.
7 wines have been selected, one for each category (nouveau white, fermented white, rosé, nouveau red, crianza, reserva, gran reserva). The choice was made in a blind tasting by the Council’s Tasting Committee, which means significant recognition of the quality of the wines that are winners of the contest and that will represent the Denomination over the coming year.
Ilurce Rosé was the winner in its category for the third year running, a demonstration of its quality year in year out. The other winners were:
- BLANCO JOVEN COSECHA 2015: Vinícola Riojana de Alcanadre, S. Coop. de Alcanadre (La Rioja).
- BLANCO FERMENTADO EN BARRICA COSECHA 2015: Bodegas del Medievo, S.L. de Aldeanueva de Ebro (La Rioja).
- ROSADO JOVEN COSECHA 2015: Bodegas y Viñedos Ilurce S.A.T. de Alfaro (La Rioja)
